Can I redeem Dream Miles or use my credit card to book a cruise through vacations.airmiles.ca?

For every 909 Dream Miles redeemed, you will get $100 towards your cruise booking**. You may use your valid credit card to pay the balance. Miles cannot be redeemed for taxes, surcharges, fees, add-ons and port charges.

Will I be able to redeem my Miles towards taxes for a cruise?

Miles can only be redeemed towards the base price. Taxes, surcharges, fees, add-ons and port charges must be paid by credit card only.

Can I redeem any amount of Dream Miles for my booking?

Dream Miles must be redeemed in increments of 909 Dream Miles, which converts to a cash value of $100 at a time.

Can I book a cruise using a deposit upfront?

No, at this time deposit payments will not be accepted when redeeming Dream Miles for cruise bookings. To be eligible to redeem Dream Miles on your booking, all cruise reservations made through vacations.airmiles.ca require full payment at time of booking. Miles cannot be redeemed for your deposit or for your administration fee.

How and when do I redeem my Dream Miles?

Dream Miles in increments of 909 Miles must be redeemed at the time of booking. You cannot redeem Miles to pay for any outstanding balance later on.

Can I redeem Dream Miles for excursion, onboard activities, gratuities, etc.?

No, you cannot.

Can I redeem Cash Miles towards a booking?

NO, Cash Miles are not eligible for redemption towards your booking.

Does it cost anything to redeem my Dream Miles?

When redeeming your Dream Miles online to make a cruise booking, there is a non-refundable processing free of $30 CDN (plus HST). If you make your reservation over the phone with a redtag.ca travel agent, there will be a processing fee of $50 CDN (plus HST).

Who should I contact if I want to make a change, modify, or cancel my cruise booking?

Contact a cruise specialist at 1-866-973-3824 who will assist you with changes to our booking if these are permitted by the supplier. Please note change fees may apply.

What happens if more than one person on my reservation is an AIR MILES collector?

Only one collector number can be applied when redeeming Dream Miles on a booking. The same collector number will earn the applicable Miles on the qualifying booking.

How long will it take for the Miles I earn to appear in my Account?

It can take up to 120 days from the date of travel for Miles to be posted to your collector account. Please note, Miles for Gold and Onyx Collectors will be posted in two separate transactions.

What happens if I must cancel my cruise?

Cancelled reservations may result in penalties according to the supplier’s Terms & Conditions. Cancellations will also result in a recalculation of Dream Miles issued. It is always recommended that you purchase insurance to protect your vacation investment.

Are there any minimum age requirements for cruise bookings?

The minimum age to sail alone in a cabin is 21 years. Families travelling together and booking multiple staterooms should take extra care to book at least one adult over the age of 25 years in each cabin to ensure reservations are successful.

How will I know how many Miles I have and/or have used?

You can find the balances of your Cash Miles and Dream Miles accounts by logging into your collector account at airmiles.ca. Dream Miles can be redeemed in increments of 909 to receive $100 off your cruise. Both the Miles you earn and the Miles you use (if applicable) will appear in your collector account under “Transaction History”.

Is airfare included in my cruise booking?

No, airfare is not included in your cruise booking. It must be purchased separately.

How do I book my airfare to connect to my cruse booking?

You can purchase airfare at airmiles.ca by redeeming your Dream Miles, using a valid Credit Card, or a combination of both.

How far in advance should I book my flight?

It is our recommendation that you research your flight at the time of booking your cruise in order to ensure availability of both. We also recommend double-checking embarkation and debarkation time requirements prior to booking your flights to ensure you provide yourself with enough time to get between the airport and the ship.

If you must cancel your trip due to a risk covered in the insurance policy, your Dream Miles will be reinstated in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the policy.

To protect your AIR MILES Reward Miles, Manulife Insurance has provided three (3) policy options:

  • All Inclusive
  • Non-Medical Inclusive, or
  • Trip Cancellation and Interruption

Please note: If you purchased your cruise and redeemed Dream Miles, and you decide to purchase Manulife Travel Insurance at a later date, you must purchase your Travel Insurance through redtag.ca.

If I already purchased a US Park Ticket, will my ticket be honoured?

Yes, if you purchased a US Park Ticket, your ticket will be honoured. Upon completion of your booking, you would have received an instant email confirmation. Within 48 hours or 2 business days, a voucher with your confirmation number and details and instructions on how to pick up your ticket(s).
